First date!!

Adam and Mom didn't quite make it into the picture!! NOO!!!

Tonight was my first date! I had so much fun. It was a surprise...well....at least until Wednesday it was... :D

I was in my room getting ready for the date when the doorbell rang. My Dad called me to go downstairs. As I started walking down the stairs I only saw my Dad. But as I got more than halfway down I could see my friend Adam standing by the wall where I couldn't see him when I first started down the stairs! He gave me a very pretty rose. :D So nice. So...... Surprise!!! Now that I knew who I was going on the date with, I needed to know: Where and What.
We waited around for a bit and then headed off. Well. We first got a picture of me and my first date. THEN we were off. :)
Dad kept saying that I was going to love the McDonald's he had picked out. HAhaha.. :):D It was funny. After going to library (to pick some stuff up for MY brother Adam) and driving around, we went to the 76 gas station and waited for Mom to get dropped off. ( Lindsey had a laser surgery today. So Grandma went and so she could drive Lindsey home while Mom went with us.It went...OK. Lindsey is such a brave little girl.) After we had Mom in the car we headed downtown to a little place called Marrakesh! ( that was the second surprise.) Good stuff....but I got SO full! Since I was there for my birthday our server brought me baklava with a candle stuck to the plate and Adam, Mom, Dad and Jordan (our server. She was fun.) sang Happy Birthday with harmony to me. :D It was fantastico.
After dinner we drove to the Portland Art Museum! (surprise number three!) There was some cool stuff in there. There was also a bunch of 'modern' art that we made fun of....and then there was just plain, immature art. Seriously. Why do people have to make art of such things..... we looked at the ceiling/floor/away while passing by these pieces of art.
We then came home and Adam stayed a while longer and we played Whoonu and The Great Dalmuti. Then he had to go. It was a fun night! The best first date I could have asked for.

Ciao!

Moroccan.....Mmm-Yum!! The one time Bets and I have eaten Moroccan together, was when she was pregnant with Elinor (I think) and....well we've never been back. (I absolutely, loved the food though).

Looks/Sounds like you had a great First Date! And I love that you doubled with Stu and Tiff!

Some advice / thoughts on life.....

"When life is throwing all the negatives of the world at you, defeat them with a smile and a hearty laugh." :D

"When you go new places, pause for a moment and take it in by concentrating on smells, sounds, objects, buildings and the feeling of the area around you. It will make it more memorable."
