The chicken killers....and then some fun

On Saturday Dad, Adam and I had the "opportunity" to go to the Nilson home and kill, de-feather and gut 125 of their chickens. At first I was UTTERLY disgusted! But I slowly got more and more used to it, and by the end I was making some seriously morbid jokes. Even though my humor became slightly morbid I could barley get my lunch that sister Nilson made for us down, and dinner? OUT of the question! I couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day. I went home and took a LONG shower.

After my LONG shower I cleaned my zone and picked up others so that I could go to my friend Drew Duncan's surprise Birthday Party. That was really fun. They had a live band there so it was awkward 'cause you didn't know whether to turn your back on them and dance, or if you should watch them or talk. So for a song or two my friend Adam and I were some of the only people dancing. Before the third song started Drew told everyone that they should dance, so a few more people started to dance. By the end of the party/dance everyone, well almost everyone, was dancing. I had a BLAST! It was cool to just have a few people that I know there because I got to talk to them more than if there are say ten people I know at a dance/party.

Seminary!!

Tomorrow it begins!!   I am very excited for seminary this year.  Although it is very early I love it! We had a fireside for it this evening.....which I drove to!!  I got my permit on Thursday the 10th! SO FUN!  (The 10th is also my uncle Phil's birthday.  Jesse's birthday was on the 11th. :D  Happy birthday to all!)  

As much as I would love to post more...I have to get to bed for my early start tomorrow.

Emmalyn's 14th Birthday!!

Although Emmalyn turned 14 on Sunday the 6th, we have been partying for the past 3 days.

Saturday Emmalyn went to the dance in Beaverton.  It was really fun to have Emmalyn there.  Its going to take a few more times for her quote "Get the hang of it".  On the down side it was my friend Bryson Jones' last dance.  He moved to Alabama Sunday morning. :'( We sent him off with 'Sweet Home Alabama'. lol

Since the 6th was a fast Sunday we didn't have a special party day 'till yesterday. 

Emmalyn, Mom and I went and got pedicures.  I had never had one before so it was an interesting experience.  Then we went to the mall and I went and got my hair cut and Emmalyn and Mom went shopping.  I didn't chop off a whole lot of hair.  I cut off a few inches and then layered it.  I really like it. :D  We met Dad and my Grandma Tracy at CPK for dinner. (They have delicious salads and pizzas!) Then we got Ben & Jerry's for dessert.  Then we popped into Barnes & Noble and then went home.   A very fun birthday.
